In recent years, GMA made significant strides to raise the profile and importance of the geosynthetics industry in Washington, D.C. Many members of Congress are willing to actively advocate for our industry. We owe a large part of our success to the continued participation of GMA membership. It is critical that GMA members maintain their diligent role and inform members of Congress of the issues affecting their constituents. GMA appreciates the hard work of its members and looks forward to continued advocacy.

The following issues and action items will be addressed during the event:

  • Thanking members of Congress for their support and passage into law of the Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA);
  • Discussing the life cycle costs and benefits of incorporating innovative materials in pavements and in other construction applications;
  • Emphasizing the benefits of deploying geosynthetic liners in coal ash waste sites;
